AGCC Owner

Pat Farrell was born in Buffalo, NY but got to Texas as fast as he could. In New York he studied computer science in high school and college and worked as a manager for Brunswick.

Brunswick had to transfer Pat, and he asked to be transferred to some place warm. They thought he meant hot and transferred him to Texas, leading him eventually to Karen and Alvin Golf & Country Club.

Pat and Karen then met in college at the University of Houston-Downtown when they were both tutors in the Writing Lab. It was love at first sight, and the two were quickly planning marriage, which took place a year after they met.

Pat and Karen have three children, Misty, Sarah, and Sean and have lived in Alvin since 1995, moving here a month after their marriage to care for Karen's grandfather Art Schacht, who had Alzheimer's disease. Pat spent many a day playing golf with Art in those years and has many interesting stories to tell about those experiences.

Pat works at BMC Software in Houston as a Lead Information Developer when he is not running the club or working on one of the member's carts. He is also a Vice President of Bay Area Baseball Association, a nonprofit select baseball organization in the Texas gulf coast. His favorite thing about owning the club is the customers. He likes the people.
